Hi, I’m Jules, and I run Scatter Your Sunshine - a one-woman Chicago-based online vintage shop filled with whimsical animal trinkets, eclectic home decor, and joyful little treasures with stories of their own.

 I’m drawn to objects with personality. The kinds of pieces that make you pause because they feel charming, odd, nostalgic, or simply unexpected. I’ve always loved animals, so the shop is naturally full of brass critters, quirky figurines, and all kinds of charming creature-shaped treasures.

Most weekends, you’ll find me digging through estate sales, thrift stores, flea markets, and dusty antique corners around the country. I look for vintage finds and decor for homes with personality. Pieces that bring color, character, and a little sense of play into everyday spaces. If it’s in the shop, it earned its spot.

My hope is simple. That the pieces you bring home become part of your everyday life. Not saved in a cabinet for special guests. Not tucked away for someday. Used. Enjoyed. Displayed proudly.

The good stuff was made to be loved, and you deserve a home that makes you happy on a regular Tuesday. ☀️

Got questions? I've got answers.

My item arrived damaged or broken. What now?
Oh no, I'm so sorry! That is the worst. Please reach out within 5 days of delivery, and I will make it right. You'll have two options:

  1. A full refund to your original form of payment
  2. An exact replacement shipped out to you

To get the ball rolling, just send a photo of the damage to  ScatterYourSunshine@gmail.com, and I'll take care of the rest as quickly as possible. 🤍

 

Can I have a price adjustment?
Unfortunately, I'm not able to offer price adjustments on purchases that have already been made. But! If something you've been eyeing goes on sale before you buy — that's your sign. Jump on it! 😄

 

My package should have shipped but tracking isn't updating.
Don't fret. Our local post office doesn't always scan pakages on the way out, so the tracking doesn't always update right away. Sometimes the tracking may not update until it's in your city, but packages are always mailed out within six days of purcahse. 

 

My package never arrived. Help!
The worst. Here's the deal: if your tracking shows it's still in transit and hasn't updated in over a week, reach out, and I'll do what I can to help track it down — sometimes that means a replacement or refund.

However, if your package has been marked as delivered, that's unfortunately out of my hands. Packages sometimes get swiped, misdelivered to a neighbor, or tucked somewhere sneaky by your mail carrier. If you're not always home, consider shipping to a work address or somewhere you know someone's around to grab it. 


It says delivered, but I don't have it. What do I do?
Don't panic yet. This happens more than you'd think! Here's your game plan:

  1. Wait a day or two. Sometimes postal workers mark packages as delivered before they actually drop them off. It often shows up within 1–2 business days.
  2. Check with your neighbors. Misdeliveries happen, especially in apartments.
  3. Call your local post office. They may be holding it and just forgot to leave a notice.
  4. Still nothing? Reach out to me, and we'll figure out next steps together. 

 

I'm local to Chicago, can I pick up instead of having it shipped, or do you deliver?

I don't deliver, but you can certainly pick up! Please just message us on Etsy or Instagram to arrange a time. We are located in the Bucktown neighborhood.
